Mercedes OM617 five cylinder diesel to Chev 700R4 automatic transmission. Will also fit the OM615 and the OM616 engine. We have redesigned the Mercedes diesel kit. This kit will allow you to bolt on any Chev V8 style automatic transmission or manual transmission. There are many advantages to using a 700R4 over the stock Mercedes transmission. A low first gear ratio, a torque converter with torque multiplication and lock-up, and a variable volume pump really make the diesel perform. We also have a kit for the Following Mercedes diesel engines: OM601 / OM602 / OM603 / OM604 / OM605 / OM606 These 4, 5, and 6 cylinder engines have a common bolt pattern on the block. There are NO modifications to either the block or the transmission case, and is easily bolted on at home. The kit consists of the following items:
